Ok i have bought some paint thru my local boat shop. It is not anti fouling because as he said we do not need to worry about that stuff around here. It is made by the same company as the antifouling is and is white. I am using it to cover over my small scratch and gouge repairs on the bottom of my boat. It drys fairly smooth and i am wondering should a guy still wet sand it. Thanks

Re: Paint

IMHO you should always sand between coats to aid in the next coat adhering to the previous coat. 320 grit should be adequate. I like to wet sand and then wipe down with acetone or MS but you should really consult your Paint MFG for their recommendations. You did not state what brand of Paint you are using.
