PAINTING A BOAT

I have a 1978 Chrysler Conqueror and it has metalflake paint on the top. The clearcoat is gone and it has turned yellow. Is there a way for me to clean this or do I have to sand down and completely repaint? Any help is very appreciated.<br />

If it is as bad as you say, you should just get sandin' and paint her up. If it is just the top then it won't take much paint. You could use Britesides or Awlgrip or any of the good marine paint. They can be brushed or rolled on, not much rocket science, but you want the prep job to be solid. Remove all hardware, sand with 220, wipe down with acetone, and rock 'n roll. Good luck....
