Just cleaned the engine in my 21' cuddy. Got all the gunk, grease, oil, etc. off the engine and engine compartment. I need to touch up some areas with some paint (mainly intake manifold). I don't want to use spray paint because of the over spray. It's a mercruiser engine from the late 80's. It's not a gloss paint it looks like satin. It needs to be able to withstand gas and oil being on it. I'm very good at prepping surfaces for paint. Any suggestions?

I would use a rattle can and a cheap drop cloth to protect for overspray.

You will get the best results if you use rattle cans........take the time to mask and tape off adjacent areas, set a box fan up to pull over spray out and away.

I will use the Rustoleum flat black engine paint. I've used it before and had good results. Now I gotta go buy a couple rolls of masking take. I Like the box fan idea. But it's gonna suck mounting it in that area. Thanks all for the input!
