Ok, i had all the antifouling paint scraped off the bottom and now there is what looks like primer on the bottom. I am not keeping the boat in the water and want to know if i use a top paint like brightside on the bottom do i need to sand the original primer off and reapply a primer before the finishing paint? Also, can i just use a multi-season ablative and paint right over the existing primer? Been using an orbital hand sander with 320 grit paper and it is taking FOREVER to get the primer and remnant old paint off. Any help is MUCH appreciated! I can post pics if necessary.
