Painting is Done!!! Almost perfection (for a jon boat). I will attach pics below from tonight. Boat is still in the paint booth and I used my cell phone for the pics so they aren't great.
I am installing my steering and throttle control tonight and have completed everything besides the hook up to the motor. I believe the guy at the parts store is jerking me around, I ordered a tilt tube from him over a week ago and it hasn't came in and he keeps telling me it is on it's way. I think I am done with him. Question: are tilt tube all universal? Can I use one from another motor? I am about to just start calling around tomorrow to find something that will work. I need to get this boat into the water no later than Saturday eve. I have a 89 Yamaha 30hp if anyone know what might be compatible for a tilt tube. Anyways thanks for looking and thanks for any help you can provide!

that thing is going to fly. you may have to work with the tilt pin, to keep it from pushing the bow down and plowing.

Wow. That's probably the coolest jon boat I've ever seen! What's the total length from your stabilizers on the back to the bow?

Re: Painting Done

Thanks all, yeah I am taking it out this weekend for a test to see if everything is setup right. I am anticipating some adjustments but overall I did a lot of research before doing these mods so hopefully everything will do well. The length on the pods are 21" and max width on the bottom is 12".
With my job I have the opportunity to network so I know a lot of people. And I never mind to scratch a back here and there so that someday my itch can get scratched. So pretty much, I need something I know somebody who has the answer. And the paint booth was one of my itches.
I still need to purchase a good tach so I can get my calculations right but I am running short on time so I probably won't install one until late next week or so. But I am hoping it will fly, so I can get more fishing in in a day. The motor is a long shaft and when I purchased the boat the calv. plate was set 3" below the bottom, now it is about and 1" above the bottom. And it did 32MPH (GPS) before so might be a scary ride this weekend but I am going to take it easy.
