Painting my boat Traditional Gel coat VS interlux paints

Im planing on painting my 87 Thunder Craft Regency and i'm trying to decide between using traditional gel coat, or the roll on one part interlux paint.
I know a lot of people seem to be using interlux just wonder if it keeps the same gloss look as gel coat.
Any input will be greatly appreciated
