acquired this boat knowing i was in for some work,, had horrible bottom paint peeling and ugly sky blue interior, previous owner definitely painted over the original gelcoat,, so ive been stripping and sanding, and its almost time to seal everything and get the new paint on,, been looking around and ive decided to go with petit easypoxy,, however im seeing it as a topside paint only,,i just want the entire boat to be gloss white in and out,, it will be used in fresh water only,, so my question ,, can i paint the bottom of the hull with the easypoxy and not have any problems,,any help or advice is appreciated also any recoomendations for a choice on the paint or justy what i can do with the bottom,, i don't want to use anti fouling thanks

Its all depends on how you use/dock your boat....If its gonna be a trailer boat, you drop in the lake for the weekend, then pulled..then go ahead and paint it all with whatever, If you dock it for the season in a slip, then most paints are for above the water line only.

If it's moored, Paint above the water line with whatever paint you like, and below the water line, just clean up the gel, coat with an epoxy based barrier coat, then cover with an ablative or hard anti fouling paint.

Pettit Vivid makes a white, hard coat bottom paint that you can try to match the topcoat with, or separate with a boot stripe.
