Well after reading some of the threads it looks like I may have pull a boner. I have a 1988 Rude electric start. Just got it with a 7.5 Merc. Both for one money. I started the Rude up without having it hooked to a battery, ran it for approx 20 minutes . Everything seemed to work ok . Had it in a barrel of water. Can I expect to have some electrical problems by running it that way, or was that enough time to cause a problem.. Rude is a 15hp.
