Does anyone know a source for a bow tip like the center of this photo. Mine was missing when i picked up the boat. Thanks, Doug

Mod EDIT:
Doug, solicitations arent permitted in the open forum. As I think I mentioned in your topic about this boat, you'll likely need to contact a local welding/metal fab shop to have them make you one or get extremely lucky and find one posted on craigs or ebay. Thanks. John

Thanks John, I remember your metal fab shop post, just not the part about soliciting. I was just hoping someone that had a parts boat might have one. I've scoured Craigslist and Ebay with no luck. I'll keep looking.

Actually, I found a company that makes them on ebay. I bought one of the back corners off of them. Let me dig em up.

That's perfect, just what I was hoping for. I knew there had to be a solution. I really appreciate it.

Those are urethane. Made by a (non active) member here. He used to make aluminum ones.

Don't know how the urethane ones would work over time.

I have found some usable ones at scrap yards. Just a matter of if they have a boat and timing. .

They do pop up on xbay every now and then. Just a matter of waiting and watching. It is the hard water season so you do have some time.

^^^ That looks to be too pointed for most Starcrafts. Looks good for a 12' or 4' utility to me. Be nice if the listed stated what boat it came off of.

Could be right, the bow cap on my Chief is 12" wide and that ebay one looks to be only 10" wide but he could always ask the seller for a better measurement and the boat it came off of. I'm thinking it was from a 16' boat.

Thanks, I had looked at this one, but determined it was to narrow. I found a guy that used to make them, but he's moving so It may be a while. No worries, just working on my shop. I will have a covered place to work on this baby. :)
