Part Number Please

My spakplug was cross threaded so I bought a helicoil kit to repair it. Last outing I checked and there was oil around the helicoil. I guess that didn't go well. I thought I'd try to replace the section of motor the spark plugs screw into. If anyone could provide me with part number and I guess I'll need gasket too. Finally if you can tell me out of 5 wrenches how difficult it might be to do ( I did my own carb overhaul - 4/5 wrenches).

You can try a solid insert to repair the threads. You drill and tap the cylinder head and install the solid insert with some epoxy to hold it in place. Works much better than a helicoil, IMHO.

Re: Part Number Please

Can anyone verify if a 1983 35 hp johnson cylinder head work ?? The seller tells me his motor overheated & lost compression. Should I stay away from it or is it a good fix ??

Please advise,

M
