Part Numbers on iboat???

Hey folks<br /><br />Another simple question, I hope. When I look for parts I need through the iboat website, how do I locate the part that is for my boat. For example: A carb kit for my 68 18hp evin. Through iboats I found the "Sierra" kits and all are listed with part numbers, but I can't figure how to match a kit up to my motor. <br /><br />Thanks for being patient with my questions.<br /><br />JR

Check out this website http://www.marineengine.com/parts/parts.html <br />You will need to enter you year/hp/model # and click go.

You can also search by part #.

You'll never figure out which parts fit what unless you use the Iboats Partfinder:<br /> http://www.boatmotors.com/mall/partfinder/ <br />If in doubt, I check a couple other places, including www.sierramarine.com. Unfortunately, Sierra's online catalog is very difficult to navigate.<br />In the specific example of your carb kit, I would not bother with the Sierra one. It is missing the all-important plastic float to replace the troublesome cork one. The dealer kit has it, and it's only a couple bucks more.
