Parts for an Evinrude '85 2.3hp

I have an 85 2.3 Evinrude that has a damaged fuel shut-off valve. Should I use the yellow pages to find a local dealer, or is there a better supplier online for this type of stuff?<br /><br />I'm assuming (sorry Dad) that the motor is an 85 by the model number (HE2RE55). Is this correct?

Hi Chuck....you'd probably avoid a lot of hassle if you'd go to a local dealer and order the part. Where'd ya' get that number at? Don't look like any model number I've ever seen.<br /><br />Model numbers can be found on a small plate on one of the transom brackets or on a large soft plug on the engine block.<br /><br />Don't hesitate to post any questions ya' may have. Thanks.
