Parts in Water Pump rebuild kit

I purchased a waterpump rebuild kit for my 150 Mariner (part# 46-96148A 8) and asked if the new seals for the Vent & Fill plugs were included. The kid behind the parts counter looked in the box and said "Ahhhh... I thinks these are them?" Not exactly instilling a lot of confidence in his knowledge.<br />Since this is my first time tearing down this L/U, I won't know what all the gaskets and seals are for until I get in there. Does anyone know if the vent & fill plug seals are included or should I pick up a set before starting?<br />Thanks for all the help... Great forum!!!

Can't speak to Mariner but if you mean the vent & fill plugs for the gearcase they probably are not included as they have nothing to do with the waterpump.

Instead of guessing, I would just buy 4 sets of two, to get me thru the season (I check mine often).<br />Gaskets are relatively cheap, about 50cents each. Which is kindof high for what they are, yet cheap enough to buy by the box.
