Hello,

I have a DP-SM that I need to pull in order to replace a hydraulic line. The outdrives (2 of them) are 8 years old and I am not sure what maintenance has been done on them in the past (I have owned the boat for the past year). I have never pulled an outdrive before but have been reading this forum as well as the VP service manual. I understand the basic principles but am trying to figure out exactly what parts I should order. Here's the list that I have come up with so far:

- Alignment tool (ebay)
- drive dolly (will build one similar to the posts on this website)
- o-rings/seal rings (3852565(2), 3855081, 3852045, 955981, 3852560(seal ring))
- White sealing compound (1141570)
- Moly grease
- VP Grease (828250)

Is that all I would need to generically pull a drive and put it back on? Should anything be added or removed from the list? Short of greasing the ushaft/gimble and inspecting the bellows, etc should I consider going ahead and replacing high failure rate items such as the bellows (exhaust and or ushaft bellows)? Just trying to get whatever needs done now and make sure I have all the parts needed before starting the project.

Thanks

Tim
