Passenger seat bit the dust

The passenger seat on my Ranger finally gave up (I appears the wood rotted where the folding frame attaches to the seat back)--is there and easy fix for this or will I have to cut the vinyl and replace the whole structure? Looking for something fast and easy until I can afford all new seats. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

no big deal here....

take out the staples......remove the upholstery.....then the foam......and cut another piece of plywood.....paint the plywood...

put the foam back in then wrap the upholstery.....and re staple.

I agree. I've done this successfully with several Lund seats.

Excellent---is one type of plywood better than another?
Thanks for the replies.
