Which one do you think is a better choice for putting in cylinders to attempt to free rings and remove carbon and sludge?

Re: PB Blaster vs. Mystery Oil

PB blaster is not a lubricant, it is a rust, grease, & oil cutter! Marvel oil, is a carbon, sludge, dissolver, and lubricates as well! I would probably use both, first the blaster, to break up rust, then soak a while with Marvel oil to dissolve carbon, & sludge.

Anything stuck gets PB Blast first then a lub oil.

Oh, and PB Blast will cut carbon. in the last week I have freed stuck rings and loosened the Flywheel on the '73 6hp I'm fixing up.

Freed up a frozen merc outdrive 2 years ago.(was stored dry) still works great.

Seafoam in aerosol can works great, it dissolves carbon.
Let it soak for 30 minutes.

Acetone and tranni fluid 50/50 works really good, machinist magazine rated it better than all of them in their tests on rusted bolts.
