Looking for 512MB modules to upgrade a Presario 900 to 1GB,on the cheap.
Here are the specs.

Module Size: 512MB
Package: 200-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR PC2700
Specs: DDR PC2700 ? CL=2.5 ? Unbuffered ? NON-ECC ? DDR333 ? 2.5V ?

I have seen some specs for Apple Powerbook RAM. The modules look the same and the specs are the same.

Anyone know if they are the same module?

Thanks

If all the specs are the same then it should work. When buying memory online, always try to order it from a place with good/fast return support if possible. Sometimes you can run into problems and you want the least hassle getting it right. Kingston has been really helpful with me in the past in regards to that. I like them because you can choose memory based on the exact model computer rather than memory specs. I normally don't use Kingston for home built computers though.

If possible use ram of the same manufacter, you will have less problems than trying to miss match to different manufacters, some just don't work well together, these are the only issues I've found.Esp in a Dell

I have gotten memory from Crucial.com with good service.

The key is that you need DDR NOT DDR2.....

I would honestly look at ebay I have gotten some there cheap too.

Got it.

I picked up a couple of 512MB PC3200 DDR off Ebay (they were originally purchased from Crucial), for $40 shipped.
