Most any paddle boat will work. It depends on the water you are on. Big water could be bad, smaller lakes they are fine. Look for one with storage for your soda pop, and fishing gear. Remember, paddling against a stiff wind is a tad hard. And if you go out at night, have lights! I almost ran one over once and I was going slow. Pfd required at all times. Ours has a place to put an electric trolling motor though we never put one on.

Only one worth buying IMHO is a Kennedy. You can swim and fish off them if you want. They aren't cheap but hold their value well on the used market.

Have one at my place in WI.....we love it!
