Hello everyone, I have a 1436 aluminum jon boat and I want to install a removable pedestal seat. 99% of the time I am fishing alone and will use it as a forward fishing position while using the trolling motor. On the rare occasion (once in 3 years) that I have a passenger, it will be their only seating position. I would like to have 2 different heights, low and high, either an adjustable post or 2 different posts. Can 2 posts be put together to make a longer post, is it stable? It's also important that the post is easily removable.
I've never had a pedestal seat before don't know anything about them, any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Attwood, Springfield and Taco all make pedestals for seating.

If passenger is to use it while underway it should be rated for such. There is different types. Some are only good for while you are not moving and some are rated for travel.
