Gents - I have a raw water cooling system on my 4.3 Gi. I was in a Florida freshwater lake last weekend and ran though a shallow canal. Of course, i sucked up all kinds of vegitation in the intake on the drive. I cleaned it off and resumed idle into the lake. After running for a few minutes, my high pressure fuel pump started making a loud whining noice. I also lost the ability to power up above 2000 RPM. The pump may have its own problem, but is this just a cooincidence? Or did i suck up some fine debris that wan't trapped by the size of the holes in the intake? What is the best way to make sure i have flushed out the cooling system of all the potential debris?
