I have an 18' Blue Fin aluminum boat and I am thinking about putting in a below deck gas tank. I have never done this before and I was wondering if anyone can direct me to where to get started. I am pulling up the floor(for another project)in about a week and I have no idea how I will mount the tank and if there may be problem with the distance from the tank to the engine, custom building the tank, venting the tank, etc. If anyone has ever done this or a project like it, please give all the input you can.
