Aldo, I have been doing some thinking on the downunder situation and ee comments brings some new lite of the IFF aanlogy. What it relates to is best describe as stacking. Sort of like call waiting (tm). I thought it best not to keep bumping to get your attention. I never know when I am being ignored because it is fashionable. :D I believe that if you address this further to the I boats management with the logic discussed there may be a solution. But then I am technostupeedo so what do I know. :D

I'M ON!! Finally.

I have not been able to log on or even access this website for over a week.

Basically, I am running through an anonymous proxy server, when iboats ping me, I don't answer, so they don't know that my address is from the part of the world that is being blocked (note to admin - if a computer illiterate aussie can do it, hackers can also, me thinks).

It is PAINFULLY slow, slower than dailup.

Explain your above post, what did EE say? What is 'stacking'?

Type slowly, I'm a slow reader

BTW, that last post (woops, a double!) took 15 minutes to load and post.

If I don't reply - it's not because I won't, it's because I can't.

Re: Personal to Dunaruna

To overcome the problem I have Aldo, I bring my "Favourites" up on the Left side of my screem, and just keep hitting "iboats forums....." over and over again till I get connected. Can do it around 20 times on some occasions. Then, about every 3 or so months that dosn't work, so I just can't get connected at all.
When I do get connected it is slow (I'm on B/Band)but nothing like you'r experiencing.
I have not been able to get connected to iboats straight-off for probably more than a year now.
Never had one problem will all the other sites I visit.
Cheers
Phillip

I'll try that, Phil.
Now it won't connect at all - except through this anonymous proxy (which is a PITA).

The funny thing is, up until 2 weeks ago I could connect every day, albeit staggered.

Off topic - they have just announced the ticket prices for the upcoming ashes series. Registered 'fans' get first grab of the tickets and then they are released to the general public. All indications are that it will be a sellout (MCG now holds 97,000) - I don't like RPJS's chances. What you think?

Off topic II. Aldo, I was watching Australian rules football on a promotional ticket. What do you think of the game? I think I could become a fan.

Dunarunna, Are you still having problems logging on to iboats, I had a major drama about 6 months ago that was, I understand, a problem with the website. Due to work commitments I only checked iboats occasionally until recently, however I have had no further problems since.

As I stated in a previous post, I'm able to access as I got our IT guy to change the IP server to one with an adress where the first three numbers are below 200. It only got changed on Monday, but it's good to be back.

My tickets are guranteed. Along with 37000 other England fans (ICC rules), you Aussies stand half a chance of getting tickets at the MCG, but 37000 England fans at Sydney isn't going to leave a lot of room.

It'll be like a home game at Edgbaston.

:D :D :D
