Try soaking in pb blaster,if anything will work, that will. Those are usually tough screws to get out.Charlie

No different than Any Other Stuck Screw.........
Lots of your favorite Penatrating Oil......
An Impact Driver, If there's Still a head on it....
Next is the Drill, Easi-out,+ Tap approach.....
After that is the Drill, Tap,+ Heli-coil......
Finally is the Forget About It approach,
Or, Replace the Gimbal Ring.....

well broke 2 of the heads of my bolts - still enough meat left on them to grab with vice-grips and a little heat - hopefully they will come out..
bruce

Once you straighten out the screw problem, make sure you put some marine grease on the screw before you put it back in and check them every year. They only freeze up when they are left alone for years and years and then one day you decide to take them out. charlie

if you can't get it out ,drill a new hole next to the broken one and tap it.lot faster and easier than trying to drill out the old one. and of course this does mess with the adjustment range so you need to get the adj. close so you can determine which side of the old bolt your new bolt will go.
