You did better than many who get paid to do it. Great reflections on the "eyeball" to give it a realistic look of being wet. Nice job.

It's a cat's eye ... but I notice you didn't draw all of the fur

I put the reflections in, took them out, back and forth a few times before I left them. Thought they looked cheezy at first.

It's a cat's eye ... but I notice you didn't draw all of the fur

No, it started out cat like, and color of my cat's eyes, but she wouldn't look at me long enough, had something to do no doubt.
BUT, have been looking into fur................ scary for the most part.

I put the reflections in, took them out, back and forth a few times before I left them. Thought they looked cheezy at first.

They're what give the eye depth. You probably were struggling with which ones looked most natural ... fun ain't it? Draw. Erase. Draw. Erase. Draw what you drew the first time. Erase. Rinse & repeat.

Did you use pre-made textures or build everything from scratch? There are so many different approaches anymore it's tough to know how someone worked.

Fur can be difficult (you're trying to draw realistic lookin' fur from a mouse or tablet) or sometimes it can be rather easy (find a texture that works and <COPY><PASTE> away). I have to deal with people's hair quite a bit ... you become something of a virtual stylist sometimes.

All built from scratch, didn't want to use any pre-mades on this project. Went through several different skins before I settled on the one in the picture. It just looked different than any other creature.
