got a 16' starcraft, trailer and 15hp evinrude yesterday. paid $950 for it. the carb cover is broken but thats not a big deal. already ordered a new cover kit for it. its my first boat, though ive been going out on similar boats for years crabbing. i need to get oars and an anchor for it. what length oars do you recommend and what style/weight anchor do you recommend?the boat will spend 90% of its time on the chesapeake for crabbing

Get a 10# navy anchor. It will work perfect. Or, if you want to splurge get an 8# danforth. 6 1/2' oars. When you drive down the road, don't leave the motor tilted up like that or eventually the transom will be stressed and crack. If you have less than about a foot of road clearance get a transom saver.

thanks for the heads up on that, i pulled the motor off the boat and dont remember how much clearance i have, but i think its about a foot, il start leaving it down while i tow it from now on
