I picked up an Evinrude 110 horse V4. The ID plate on the mounting bracket is missing. I know I have seen on here that models can be identified through the numbers on the welch plugs. The Welch plug number I found is 0484191. The seller told me it was a 1987. He also told me he stopped using the VRO and plugged the line. I really hven't delved into this outboard much because I want to get a manual before I procede. I plan on eliminating the VRO completely and I have found a few really good threads on the subject.

There is no downloadable manuals from BRP...your best bet is try Ebay ..don't get anything but the OMC manual..or you wasted your money....
There is a guy Ken Cook who sells them also..don't know the link...but its in the forum here if you search ....

The cost of the manual may be a bit expensive...but if you compare the cost of a mechanic doing a job that you could of done with the right manual ..the cost of the book was cheap...

Yeah, believe me, I know a manual is well worth the money. I have determined the model number has to be 110tlcu. this off of the "Johnson Evinrude Gale ID chart" that I downloaded from here last year. I wish Iboats would offer OEM manuals. I prefer to buy everything I can from here.
