Monday I went to look at a boat that I've had my eyes on for a couple of years now. It's a 22.5' Peterborough with a 115hp Mercury Tracker Pro Series outboard on the back. It really doesn't need much work at all- maybe a floor replacement which should be pretty easy on a boat that is this wide inside. Here are some pics of the outside- we've received a bit of snow here in NY in the past few days.

Do you think the trailer is ok sized? The boat hangs off the back a little bit.

Does look a bit short but if you extend the tongue and move the winch post forward you can probably make it work.

The trailer looks like a small redesing project and I would also raise the rear bunks a bit.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking also. I hate how "nose up" the bow is. DO you think a single 2x6 or 2x8 bunk on each side would be better than the four shorter bunks it has now?

like bob said moving the winch forward, maybe even angling forward you might not have to extend the tongue add a support roller under the bow between the one that's there now and the first crossbar and beefing up the bunks and extending them more under the aft of the boat. the boat looks a little barrel chested so you will probably alway have that rake to the trailered boat but might be able to make less drastic
