Is there anything in particular that I should be looking for? I'm going to go over it with a fine tooth comb as much as I can while at the dealer. My dealer is a little bit of a hike away, and this was a custom ordered boat I've been waiting for since February.

Planning on maiden voyage Sunday as weather is suppose to be sunny and warm.

First time big boat owner, so just looking for any advice. I'll post photos up later tonight in the Glastron sub forums. Thanks!

Sweet, a brand new rig:D If I were you I'd just check out all the electronics, make sure everything works. Open and close all hatches, etc to make sure things are solid.

I'd have the dealer set up any canvas for you to test the fit and maybe ask for a free floating key chain;)

Congrats and good luck with the maiden voyage!

3Mile.....Good luck on your new boat.

If your dealer is anything like mine, they'll walk you through the features of the boat, the engine, electronics, etc as well as your trailer (loading/unloading, brakes, etc)

Good dealers will have a set process (My dealer sent me a 3 page "what to expect' document to prepare for sea trial)

I envy you..... I have my sea trial on the 22 of May... Good luck... and post some pics of the new boat when you get 'em.

Must be very excited! I remember how I felt last August when I took delivery. My dealer took us out on a shakedown cruise, went over all systems and equipment. Also, might be too late now, but make sure they throw in all the CG required safety items and a cover! Good luck and enjoy....

Motor is the 4.3GL Volvo Penta (190hp). I contemplated the v8 or even the V6 FI, but couldn't gather myself to turn it into a $30K plus boat.

I couldn't even sleep today ( I work nights, and I was only able to sleep 6-11:30 today) because I am soo excited!

Well, hopping in the truck now for my hour drive with my cousin who is already a glastron owner and I'll have pictures later tonight. Thanks for the input.

Re: Picking up my new boat in a couple hours..

Check the date stamp on the trailer tires. I purchased a new to me boat 2 years ago and the trailer was a 2006. It had maybe 10 miles on it when I purchased it and still looked brand new. The guy racked stored the boat so the trailer sat in his garage unused for 3 years. Anyhow, I went to put new tires on the boat today because they were starting to crack on the sidewalls and I have heard that trailer tires should be replaced every 5 years or so, when they were swapping out the tires they mentioned that they were made in 1999!!! So when the trailer was sold new the tires were already 7 years old. Just a little detail but could save you around $350.00 when you have to replace the tires prematurely.

Re: Picking up my new boat in a couple hours..

I really wanted to dunk her yesterday but there just wasn't enough time after having to drive over an hour away to pick her up. Plus I had to order the fat round plug to the flat 5 connector which for some reason isn't stocked at any local auto parts store. Plus I gotta run into the City of Syracuse to have pictures taken for insurance purposes before I do anything with it.

... I loved driving back home on I-81 and watching everyone in the rear view mirror gawk in awe trying to figure out what they were looking at. I don't think people realize what the wake-board tower is for.

No, 3mile bay up on Lake ontario/Chaumont bay. But yes, I know where 3mile bay on Oneida lake is. I go there pretty often with friends and was there on Sunday. Wanted to make a trip down to Sylvan beach, but the chop was pretty hefty just after passing the islands so I stopped after reaching bridgeport.
