Just bought this boat. Its a 1995 Force 120 on a 1995 Bayliner Capri 1700 LS. When running it with the earmuffs on in the driveway, I noticed water come out of these three areas of the lower unit (see the three pics) The area where the water is coming from is circled in red.

Before I purchased, I sampled the gear oil in the lower unit, didnt appear to have water. Checked compression, 120 in all cylinders, I didnt start it up with a hose because it was in storage and didnt have access to a water supply so I did take a bit of a risk.

Please tell me water is supposed to be coming from these areas! After running it for a short while, I did notice a constant stream coming from the tell tale which is good, just want to make sure its ready for the summer!

Just normal, nothing wrong.

#1 Gearshiftrod. The seal is inside the lowerpart.

#2 Exhaust through the prop. Most coolingwater exit this way.

#3 Water intake. Yes water may come out there when you use muffs.

Most importent for your checking in the water is the tell tale "pisser".

#3 is not a water intake, but rather a place where exhaust and water, that has already traveled through the cooling system, exits. All completely normal and is functioning properly.
