finally have a dns name pointed to the ip for picture hosting... make it a bit easier<br /><br />instead of going to the ip 66.136.189.194... you can now point to:<br /><br /> http://noel.primary.net/iboats <br />is the same as....<br /> http://66.136.189.194/iboats <br /><br />a bit easier to remember<br /><br />hopefully soon I will have a page up that will let you login and make it easier for everyone to upload pictures.

right now it's just one directory... <br /><br />as long as it isn't abused it will stay that way... if there are problems, people will have to email me to get a username/password.<br /><br />(if anyone WANTS their own site at <br /> http://noel.primary.net/YOURNAMEHERE just let me know it can easily be created.

nmedge, I got a couple Compaq drives laying<br />around. maybe you can use them to help support<br />the site? remind me which old server it's running<br />on and if they are compatible, they are yours 4 free.

Only using 24 megs so far, so really, not that concerned, but thanks for the offer. Put them on ebay and see what you can get for it.<br /><br />Have any Ram laying around? THAT it could use

I mostly stock DEC/Alpha stuff nmedge, but I will <br />look in MY cra.p drawer and see... what is the server?<br />or, what kind of memory does it take?

believe it or not, it's a Compaq Deskpro 500mhz dsktop machine.<br /><br />Compaq doesnt use quite the normal PC100 SDRAM Dimms, they are pescial to the compaqs. Waiting for a few auctions I won on ebay to come in for my other machines to see if any of that ram will recognize in this thing before I spend the extra $10 on what it says will work in it.<br /><br />Server running win2k, might change to win2kserver down the line and put exchange on it.<br />Battery backup on server and on dsl router.
