Ray,

Your right if the 318 runs I'll keep it. Hell, even if it needs to be replaced it will be a lot less than the OB's.

Jim

all I will say is this ...

my other car, the winter car, is a 82 Gran Fury ... Plymouth by badge, but a Mopar 318 by power ... it has at last count 278,000 miles on it, thats 12 times around the world at the equator, thats farther than THE MOON is from earth ... and it had a timing chain replaced, and only cause I detected a little lag in the distributor spinning when I was turning the motor over (it was shot, but didnt break or jump teeth)

and thats IT, nothing else, it cranks right over on the coldest days, goes 3000 miles between oil changes without burning even a drop of oil!

the CHEVY on the other hand, well, stay away from 305 chevy power, lol, what a turkey! but the air works, and it rides like a limo, so, eh, whats a little oil? lol

Hey Slimjim, I finally got a chance to check out your pics. That will be a rockin' boat. I feel like a centerconsole conversion with enclosed head in the console is a workable deal, maybe a forward cuddy as well, but I personally would just go CC, and save the weight. I would definatly run that inboard, its already there, and a lot less expensive than slapping on two outboards (although twin outboards have coolness factor).
