Pilot 8' sailing Dinghy

Not sure if my previous post went through so pardon me it this is a dupe
I have had a Pilot sailing dinghy for a boatload of years and just getting it out and trying to get her ready for some Cape Cod bay sailing.
I am trying to get some information on it, like a forum but am getting nowhere. This website popped up on a search so thought I ask here and see if anyone knew of a website/forum that I could ask some questions on?

I did a google search and nothing turned up. It is interesting in that there seems to be absolutely nothing listed for this boat.

I have all the sailing gear but have some questions on stepping the mast. Its very difficult to get it into the metal casting at the base. Not sure how the traveler is supposed to be set up. was hoping there was a website or a dealer around but can't find one.

Fast look that I can see, is that Pilot was sold to Hobly ... and is now gone. Without seeing the base, I don't really have a guess. Does your traveler had cleats? Or is it designed to be disconnected while sailing?
