pit in the out drive is it good

I am going to look at an alhpa one out drive for my 3.7 merc. The guy said it has a pit in the lower end closer to the front. My question is will it blow out? does the out drive build up good amout of psi. I am getting it for very little money and hope to use for the rest of the season

Ayuh,....

I guess that would depend on, How Deep......

Those cases aren't all that Thick,.... 1/8" or less in places....

i was told the area where it is and i just looked at it is solid. it is about 1in think in the area and the pit is about 1/4 in the old owner cleaned it and put some kind of expoy on it when ever it needed he said. Maybe it will last till i can get a rebuilt. the oil is nice and clean and i will change it any how
