Pitch for me

Hello Im not sure if anyone can give me an answer for this. However if anyone can it will be here. I have a 1988 Celebrity 5.0 AlfaOne the sticker on the valve cover says it is 200hp I currantly run a 19" pitch and she does well but...I would like to see her go a bit faster. the last know reading for rpms@WOT was around 4G's. After removing the whale tail the tach suffered some malfuncions and will be replaced asap. My question is with wanting to pull skiers I will be keeping my 19", but would like to know a ballpark of how high I can effectivly go before I run into efficaintcy? maybe 23"? Anyone know with out buying 10 props Thanx

Not until we know those max RPMs you're getting now. But I'd bet 23 is too steep.

If your tach was right at 4000rpm WOT, the 19 is too steep as well.<br />Need an accurate RPM figure with a known prop.
