Pitch

I would like to understand how pitch is figured number wise? Also Last fall I got a 2002 19' VIP Deckliner, fish/ski. with 4.3 Mercruser. What prop is the correct one? Do I need to be careful not to over prop? Is there even such a thing?

You want a prop that will allow your motor to run at the recommended RPMs at WOT (wide open throttle). Yes you can over prop and it is bad for your motor as is under proping.

Thanks for your help. The boat came with an extra prop so I just want to know for sure I have the correct prop. What other info is needed other than 4.3 mercrusier?
