On throttlling up after leaving port, my 200hp Bombadier suddenly cut out. I quickly learnt that the fuel line had burst just in front of engine. In a few minutes I was able to solve that problem. It took several tries to re-start, though no alarm went off. However, an hour or so later, as I accelerated briefly on return to port, the motor went dead, again without an alarm sounding. This time, the motor went into complete "Safe" mode. (The 3 lights on the left of the guage, would come on, and nothing would happen when I tried to re-start.)
It took a little over an hour before the motor came out of "Safe." I'm at a loss concerning why the shutdown and the Safe mode. (The usual suspect, a clogged hose to the separator and overheating of the powerpack as a result, was not involved. When the motor finally came out of safe and could be started, I had had the battery terminal disconnected for about 6 minutes. Does this all make sense? The motor operated very well both before and after these incidents. Thanks for any thoughts or explanations!
