Planing Problems

I have a 95 Mariah 21ft with a 350 mag and an alfa 1 outdrive. From a stand still and giving all the throttle I can she wont plane for well over 15 seconds with only 2 people in the boat and a 1/2 tank of gas. I have tried 2 props and both give the same results, one 21 pitch and one 19 pitch. Once she planes out it gets up and goes to about 4800 RPM. Any ideas?

I have the same boat... With 205 davanti / merc engine & alpha 1 I/O. I use 19 pitch SS prop, she planes out right away, did you try trim down?

i have a Z 212 shabah! The trim is all the way down. Thanks for the input. I get the same results going from a 19 pitch SS and a 21 pitch aluminum.

Crazyboat1;<br /><br />You should notice a considerable difference between the 19 and21 pitch props. Call me - there is something else not right. 800-233-0194
