I have a 98' Stingray 181rs with a Evinrude SPL 90 outboard. #E90TSLEC. Took to lake, would not lower, took home (sad), took off tilt res cap and only had to add small amount to fill, motor would then lower, attempted to purge air, raised all way, check/add fluid, wait to dissolve bubbles, 5 times, not much added fluid, on 5th trip started to drag from I thought the battery, put on rack and checked fluid---full. Charged battery all the way and now it wont move. up ad down you hear the motor running just no movement. By the way***I tried to release manual valve on side but it is frozen up even after 2 days of adding frozen bolt breaker. I have taken very good care of this engine as in routinely servicing fluid/tune up/flushing/lubing. I have a manual, but after a week of searching cannot find. Did searches on e-bay,this site and about 4 others for a replacement service manual for sale to no avail in my non-specific manual it is listed as #507270, but i have yet to get a listing for one 4 sale at all under this number. I read around 300 forum answers. Alot of discussion in general about cleaning brushes in tilt motor????? Tried to loosen bolts on tilt motor and they wont budge, so now i am seeking any assistance. specific troubleshooting link/copy would be greatly appreciated. Sorry so lenghty.
