Hi I have read several post on this subject but I have come to no conclusion. I have a 2000 Mercury 125 and the continuous alarm started going off at the lake so I loaded it up on the trailer and came home. Everything seemed to be fine with the motor not hot and was peeing well. So I see some posts on here that state that it could be a bad wire to the temp sensor. I just pulled it apart and have a question, I pulled the wires from the oil tank and the buzzer stops. Either of the 2 blue wires from the tank that connect to the Tan with Blue stripes or the Black wire will make the buzzer stop. Could it be the oil sensor even though it is a continuous beep? Or is there any easy way to trouble shoot this problem. Thanks for reading this long subject.

Sorry the boat 2000 a 2000 model and the engine 2001 a 2001 model. I throught looked throught the owners manual and for Merc year Merc, it states that the alarm is continuous for the oil and temp alarms. I am thinking about replacing the oil switch as a first option. The serial 0T317818 is 0T317818. Thanks again.
