I'm planning to buy the 2003 Sea Ray 280 Sundancer with T-4.3L MPC, cockpit cover, Macerator, ac/heating, stove, tv, windlass. My current dealer quoted me at $99,999 + tax. Is this a good deal? I mean, can I get a better offer somewhere else?

Thank you.

My opinion on new boats is not to buy new boats. Check out ebay, boattraderonline, etc. You can find the same, or similar boat that is 1 to 3 years old and save huge $$$. Boats take a huge hit in the depreciation for the first few years, and then somewhat level out. Take advantage of the owner that bought a boat, realized they never use it, and just want out. Unless the money doesn't matter, and you have to have new, go for next to new. Boats unlike autos, are just getting broken in at 3 years, where as an auto typically starts to go down hill after 3 years. Just my opinion.
