Please Help!! Changing the copper water tubes that go into the water pump

I need to change the cooper water tubes the plug into the water pump on my 85hp Johnson. Do you know if this is an easy task and how do the tubes cost???? They were bent up I did not know if I could just try to straighten them the best I could or What? Thanks!!

D98240...... Hopefully you can straighten those tubes. If not, the procedure for changing those tubes are as follows.<br /><br />Remove the lower unit.<br /><br />Remove the powerhead.<br /><br />Remove the upper and lower motor mount bolts, then remove the exhaust housing assy away from the swivel/steering bracket.<br /><br />Remove the upper motor mount from the adapter plate.<br /><br />Remove the adapter plate retaining bolts, then lift the adapter plate assembly up and away from the exhaust housing.<br /><br />This allows you to invert the adapter plate in order to have access to the water tube retaining bolts. (A tremendous amount of work!)

Don't know how much you have left, but would it be possible to braze some new tubes onto the existing pieces? Huumm
