I already asked this in another thread started by me, but because it is an older thread I thought it would be better to start a new thread with this question. I hope that this is allowed and that you don't mind.
I am still very confused about the inflation of my Sevylor Fish Hunter (HF360) and rather shivery to take it out on the water. The reason is this:
The manual says in bold letters: "The correct pressure is 0.06 bar (60 mbar). Do not exceed it." That is why I also bought a Sevylor manometer.
When I inflate the safety chamber (1) to 60 mbar, the Sevytest is still rather far from the "A" marking. When I inflate it to this "A" marking, the manometer reads 140 mbar, so much too high.
When I inflate the safety chamber to 60 mbar and then the main chamber (4) also to 60 mbar, the "A" mark of the Sevytest is reached. But when I check the safety chamber again it has risen to 140 mbar, so much too high again. I assume that when I blow it up further to reach the "B" mark, it will be so much that the boat will be damaged.
I already contacted Sevylor's customer service but they refer me to Sevylor Benelux, because I have an European model. Unfortunately the appropiate persons there are on holiday until the new year.
I hope that another, experienced, Sevylor Fish Hunter owner can help me with this. What should I do ? Or could my boat or the Sevytest gauge be faulty ?
