I've decided to go ahead and replace the thermostat on my 1987 Sunbird 4.3L since it loooks so rusted. Well the problem I have is there are numberous listing of thermostat for 4.3L engine and they are different size and shape, please help me order the correct one. What is the correct thermostat kit or a thermostat for my engine?

First thing you need to do is get the OEM part number so you can cross reference it properly.
Get the model number of your engine, then go here and look up your engine by model number. http://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=837ec0bc-ad05-4192-b5b2-cd5f034ce1a5&brands=ej (NOTE boat year, may not be engine year)

Once you have the OEM part number, go to the iboats parts search and type the number in. As an example. I just picked a ranom 87 4.3 from the list on the BRP site and got 383307, typed that into the parts search and go this.
