Please help me ID this engine on my boat : ) Pics inside.

Hello all,



I feel like a bad parent who forgot what day his kid was borne. But I my defense this is my first boat and I am eager to learn all the info I can. For one I just really need to Id the engine. Here is what I do know.

Outdrive is a Volvo Penta. This combo is on a 1985 Sea Ray Seville. Engine is 8 cyl and has no real name plate or any noticeable tags I just found a couple of numbers on it. Please help with correct ID. Also the spark plugs are Autolite 23 dunno if this helps. Thank you all.

ford 302 or 351. Definitly Ford though

Has a Malory ignition too. Nice. Distributor looks Malory, Coil is accell

If u can tell me the firing order I can tell you what it is. Firing order should be stamped on intake

It's a Ford 302 or 289, if you pull a valve cover, it will have either 302 or 289 stamped in the head somewhere...

The C8 casting number on the intake means it's designed in '68...
