I am a long time boat owner but recently bought my first inboard. It is a 2002 4.3 MPI Mercruiser with a single point drain system. I have opened the drain valve and also removed two blue plugs, one below where the single point drain drains and the other on top of the motor, which I believe is the thermostat housing??? My question is, and please don't laugh becuase I am not very mechanically inclined, is where is the thermostat housing located? I believe it is on top of the motor towards the front(where I removed the blue water drain plug as mentioned above). I want to poor antifreeze in the thermostat housing to complete my winterization. I already changed the oil and filter and also changed the lower unit oil. Do I also need to replace the fuel water sperator??? Or are these good for awhile?

Ayuh,.... At the top of this forum is the Adults Only section,....
In there, you'll find the factory Manuals which can identify the various parts of the motor,+ drive,...
Be sure you have whatever gaskets, parts,+ tools needed...
Yes, the T-Stat housing is front,+ center....

Don's has also pinned an Excellent article about Winterizing,....
Most of your questions are answered there...;)
