i went out on saturday all was fine
went out sunday and all of a sudden cough cough splut, i was 3 miles out and from a screw in the top carb the fuel was coming out as much as water does from the tell tale, it did sort itself out and engine was fine so i nursed her back to pontoon, spray carb cleaner in all 3 carbs fired her up and she was sweet even idled better than ever,shut her down when restarted fuel coming out of the screw again
it is an 80`s 115hp blueband straight 6

Your carbs are going to have to come off for a thorough cleaning. Sounds like a sticky float valve. You can spray a case of carb cleaner through the throats and never reach the problem. It's internal.

thanks willy i thought i may get away with a bit of a clean without stripping but i guess i`ll do it tomorrow so i can go out sunday
