the part # is 438558, that small connection will come off. I was just wondering if I should have it. Thought it might be for mixture or something. Please advise.

That pump is for a mid to late 90's 125 hp motor from what I could find looking up that part number. If it were me, I would exchange that part for the one that is for your motor (TD gave you the P/Ns) and make life easy:)

That's a new one to me. I would exchange it if not the correct one for your motor. Not worth any risks.

Like BK said - it's for a mid 90s commercial V4 looper. That's the top fuel pump. The lower fuel pump doesn't have that small nipple. That's for the hose going over to the vacuume switch to detect low fuel pressure. You can use it by just plugging the nipple. If it were mine I'd send it back and get the right one.

looks to me the person that filled the order, grabbed the wrong part, with the numbers being off just by one number. probably in the bin nest to the correct one. i would send it back for the correct one.

Thanks everyone for you help, after measuring everything with calipers. all things match up. The extra nipple completely unsnaps from the assy. After unsnapping the assy is identicle. Figure the one number change in the part# is for that. I feel confident that after the removal it is the correct part.
