Boat Accident

While on a boating trip on Indianapolis, Indianas White River, two couples and an infant hit an obstruction that damaged the propeller of their boat so extensively that it could not develop sufficient thrust to keep out of the strong current leading to the spillway. The boat went over the spillway and lodged as depicted in the photograph. Over the next several hours, multiple attempts to rescue the occupants by boat, rope pulley, and fire truck ladder proved unsuccessful. Two officers from the Indiana State Police arrived in the departments helicopter and rescued all five people on the craft in less than 15 minutes.

Submitted by Indiana State Police

Related State Police Heroism Award Story:
http://www.theiacp.org/awards/poloff/2002poyear.htm
I searched the Indianpolis Star and found an article referring to this incident. Happened on June 11, 2001. You have to buy the article.

I thought it was photoshopped.

Ken
In the properties it says"http://www.seeitornot.faketrix.com/content/thrash-pics/original_files/boat-driver-loses-control.jpg" so I don't know if its real or not.
As much water there is coming over the falls, you'd think there would be a heck of a lot more water spray coming over the boat.

Story might be real, but I dunno if I can believe the picture.

Now if there was a 20ft. shark going for the baby... I'd believe it!

H.
