Hi there.

A friend of mine has a New Yamaha 60 4 stroke on my Buster M. It's brand new with injection. Previuosly, he had Suzuki 50 (4 stroke) but changed it on Yamaha to get the higher speed.
With Suzuki the top speed was 62 on 6000 prm with 16 pitch stainless prop.
Now the top speed 61.5 on 5800 with the 15 prop.
But the problem is that the engine gets 5800 and not more. And never mind it's 11*15, 13*10 or 10 3/4*15 pitch.

I wonder what's the problem?
Someone advised to change the program that drives the engine. If it's real how can I do that?

I appreciate if you can help me.

Regards, Sl.

check the engine tach with a known good inductive tach. the rev limiter in the engineECU is set at 6200 RPM. 10 HP isnt gonna give ya much more speed.

I wonder if any upgrade program to the engine exists. If yes, how to install?

Thanks, I'll check the tax.

no upgrades or mods for the ECU.
but if changing the prop does not change the RPM I suspect a tachometer issue.
