Plowed the driveway 1st of the season

Yup mounted up the snowplow and did the driveway today

Trying to get ready for the white stuff and this past rainy season rutted the heck out of my hill. My neighbor thought I was nuts but was impressed on how nice a job a snowplow does on gravel.

Not as good as a road grader but it works.

Yeah, Bob, useta do that every fall with mine, 'bout a half mile. Finally gave up when I found a guy that will plow my road cheaper than I could keep the old Bronco running. Now I just complain to the neighbors (summer folk), tell them I keep the road open all winter in case their summer place catches on fire, they should handle summer maintenance.

Nah, blew right by like I figured it would. Fair amount of rain, though, 5.7" in the wife's rain gauge. Guess she won't hafta water the garden for a couple days, I'll hafta find her another job.

First snows predicted here in the northern & southern regions.

We won't see any here though, it just rains in Frankfurt. Nine months of short, grey, ugly, rainy days, and no sun for us.

I would love to see snow again, measured in feet, not millimeters.

Worst summer I can every remember, although they are never really good summers here. This one, was just winter in a Hawaiian shirt.
